Local Content: 

At Seiche we understand the importance of local contentin Africa, as it plays a crucial role for skills development and local employment. Seiche has a diverse team of MMO/PAM/FLO and ECO personnel based in Africa to support our clients. We also offer in country regional training programs to further grow local content within Africa.

Stakeholder Engagement: 

We are able to support our clients in Southern Africa by providing tailored educational presentations and workshops to assist with stakeholder engagements during the ESIA phase as well as prior to and post project operations. This provides an educational platform to guide stakeholders as to the roles and responsibilities of our environmental personnel as well as how mitigation and compliance practises are implemented during the project lifecycle. 

Fisheries: 

Seiche provide’s our clients with Fisheries Engagement support prior to, during and post project operations. This entails Notice to Mariner and Navigational warning services as well as daily operational updates to the local Fisheries, Government and Interested and Affected Parties (I&AP’s). Seiche’s team of consultant Fisheries Liaison Officers (FLO’s) offer extensive international experience in fisheries engagement and an excellent understanding of local fisheries sectors. Our FLOs hold all appropriate training and qualifications.

Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) Solutions:

From towed and static systems to advanced vessel-based solutions, we provide a wide range of PAM systems for the detection and recording of vocalizing marine mammals. Our expertise includes survey design, deployment, data analysis, and reporting.

Underwater Noise Modelling: 

We provide predictive sound source modelling, sound source verification (SSV), propagation modelling, and mitigation zone determination to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Marine Mammal Baseline Surveys: 

We design and implement comprehensive baseline surveys, utilising specialist PAM buoys and stations for long-term data collection. Our services include in-depth data analysis and reporting to establish a thorough understanding of marine mammal presence, abundance, and distribution.

Real-Time Marine Mammal Monitoring & Mitigation: 

We provide visual and acoustic monitoring equipment and highly trained personnel for real-time monitoring of marine life during offshore operations. Our team advises on effective mitigation measures to minimise potential impacts and ensure compliance.

Underwater Noise Monitoring & Assessment:

We offer comprehensive underwater noise monitoring services, including equipment provision, expert deployment and recovery, and detailed data analysis. We provide both post-processed and real-time assessment of noise levels from offshore operations, vessels, and other sources.
