Roy Wyatt – Owner & CEO
Roy Wyatt is the CEO and a Founding Director of Seiche Ltd, establish in 1997. With decades of experience in underwater engineering, sonar research, and marine instrumentation, Roy has been instrumental in shaping Seiche’s strategic direction and its reputation for innovation in underwater acoustics and environmental measurement. Prior to Seiche, he held senior engineering and leadership roles in the defence and marine sectors and founded SDMA Ltd, a marine instrumentation company, in 1985. Throughout his career he has championed the application of cutting-edge technology to protect marine ecosystems, including advancing Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) and autonomous monitoring systems. Today, Roy continues to support Seiche’s global growth, guide its technology development, and mentor the next generation of marine scientists and engineers.

Martin Hutton – Engineering Director
Martin leads the technical development and delivery of advanced marine acoustic and monitoring systems. With a strong engineering background and hands-on experience in marine technology, Martin oversees design, integration, and deployment of critical underwater measurement solutions that support environmental monitoring, acoustic compliance, and offshore project delivery. His role bridges innovation and practical execution, ensuring Seiche’s technology meets the rigorous performance and reliability standards required by clients in offshore energy, marine science, and environmental consultancy sectors. Martin holds an engineering degree from the University of Exeter and brings a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to managing complex technical projects within Seiche’s global operations.
Ross Culloch – Director of Science
Ross has over 20 years of experience working on marine mammals and, within that time, he has worked in various capacities on over 30 major marine infrastructure projects, globally, with a particular focus on offshore wind.
He has worked within academia, government and environmental consultancy; this experience across sectors provides him with a unique understanding and perspective of key consenting and conservation and management issues relating to marine mammals. His career has largely focused on addressing critical knowledge gaps, alongside developing and advising on monitoring of marine mammal populations, and mitigation of potential impacts caused by human activities, particularly those relevant to underwater noise
Sarah Hancock – Director of Operations
Sarah has worked throughout Seiche’s operations since 2005 when she started supporting the training division providing countless Marine Mammal Observers and PAM Operators with qualifications across the global including courses across the US, Brazil, Europe and New Zealand. Since then Sarah has worked across the company and now is Director of Operations overseeing Seiche’s extensive and growing portfolio of global projects spanning marine mammal monitoring, underwater noise assessments and environmental compliance.
Nicola Harris – Director of Business Development
Nicola leads the company’s strategic growth initiatives, fostering client relationships and identifying opportunities across offshore energy, infrastructure, and marine research projects worldwide.
With over 20 years of technical knowledge of marine mammal monitoring, underwater noise assessment, and environmental compliance, Nicola combines technical insight with commercial acumen to deliver tailored solutions to support clients in delivering sustainable offshore developments. Nicola has global experience having originally worked in the field for many years across Africa, Europe, UK and New Zealand as well as being fortunate to be seconded for extended periods in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Nicola actively represents Seiche across industry forums including a recent appointment to the RenewableUK ShadowBoard (2004-2005). She drives innovation in service offerings, and ensures the company continues to expand Seiche’s global presence in the marine environmental sector.
Dan Hook – Non-Executive Director
Dan joined Seiche in January 2026 as a non-executive Director bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in marine technology and innovation to Seiche. A Naval Architect by training, he studied at the University of Southampton before embarking on a diverse career encompassing fast vessel design, weight and stability analysis, and structural engineering.
His passion for marine robotics led him to become a Chartered Engineer and establish ASV Ltd, a pioneering company in the development and construction of unmanned surface vessels.
Following the sale of ASV Ltd to L3 Harris, Dan served as Chief Technology Officer at Ocean Infinity for four years. He now leads RAD Propulsion, a company dedicated to advancing technology for electric and smart boats. In addition to his industry roles, Dan has contributed significantly to marine science as a Non-Executive Director of the National Oceanography Centre over the past six years.
